Objetivo: to provide evidence on the effectiveness of pharyngolaryngeal biopsies for people with suspected head and neck cancer. The evidence supports the adoption of pharyngolaryngeal biopsy under local anaesthesia to confirm, but not to rule out, a diagnosis of head and neck cancer.
